| I qualified at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Complutense University in Madrid . I then went on to do a short spell at a small animal clinic in Madrid and was involved as an assistant in running 5 pig production units in the province of Toledo . At the same time I was a translator of veterinary texts for a Spanish publisher and I worked for an insurance company that ensured the transport of food .
I then came over to the UK to work as a contract OV and spent 4 years doing this job at a variety of plants in Wales and the South of England.
In August 2005 I joined the MHS as an AOV and spent 2 ½ years establishing and supervising the slaughter of Over Thirty Month cattle in approved abattoirs.
I am now a Lead Veterinarian for the MHS covering cluster 33 ( Hampshire and Dorset mainly).
My hobbies include walking the dogs, gardening, enjoying a healthy social life and trying to get up to London whenever an interesting show or exhibition comes along.
