Veterinary public health is a component of public health activities devoted to the application of professional veterinary skills, knowledge and resources to the protection and improvement of human health. (WHO/FAO1975).
The contribution to the complete physical, mental and social well being of humans through an understanding and application of veterinary medical sciences (WHO/FAO, 1999). From abamectin to zymodemes, with over 300 members working in all areas of veterinary endeavour, the VPHA is a truly diverse association.
